| The Guerila Retro 2019 is a masterpiece of winemaking that captures the essence of the white grape varieties of the Vipava Valley in Slovenia. This cuvée is a harmonious blend of Pinela, Zelen, Rebula, and Malvazija grapes, thriving on the terraced vineyard Pri Pili. The soil there, a mix of sand, sandstone, marl, limestone, and clay, gives the wine its unique texture and complexity.
After a one-week maceration and spontaneous fermentation, the wine undergoes gentle pressing, followed by a year of aging in oak barrels on its own yeast. The result is a golden-yellow wine that impresses with its complexity and liveliness. On the palate, Guerila Retro presents a light extract sweetness and a bouquet of meadow herbs. The acidity is fresh and balanced, giving the wine an excellent structure. Despite its complexity, the wine surprises with clarity and a pleasant aroma. |
